-Hunt in groups, its more fun that way!
-Take a landmark from where you last left off. We understand that things get busy and you might have to leave in the middle of solving the labyrinth. Go ahead and take a landmark from where you stand, so you can go back and continue where you left off.

We will not be giving out hints to prize locations, or hints on how to solve the labyrinth. You are on your own ^_~ Not all of the prizes will be found in the correct solution to the maze, be sure to explore everywhere! You know that your shopping experience at Datenshi Creations is going to be a little bit different the second you arrive. It takes a moment to rez, as you find yourself in a playful little open field beside flowers and a wishing well. Slowly, as your surroundings take shape, you realize you have to choose a shopping direction - one of the two more traditional little storefronts, the giant teapot, or the slightly spooky Victorian house further back nestled amid the trees.
Well, kids, it doesn’t matter which one you pick first because there are goodies behind every door.

Door #1: MUWU. This outfit is appropriately titled “Painting Madness” and I’ve been enjoying the hell out of it. It’s such a simple concept, and yet the look feels much more creative amid the glam dress up craziness most of us swirl in. The prim rolled-up cuffs add charm and detail to a the casual pairing of top and pants and the tattoo layer gloves of paint stains are another little wink.

Door #2: Kuroi Hane: If gothtastic lotita stuff is your thing, this is your place. I know this first outfit “Ichigo” looks like the uniform of a Strawberry Shortcake ice show skater, but it’s got incredible detail and it’s just so damn sweet. It comes with parasols for each hand and has oodles of prim details from the puffy bell sleeves to the belt and stocking ties.

The black “Hinata” is far more mainstream goth lolita. Both dresses have incredibly good prim skirts with great movement. The textures are top-drawer here. You can always tell how skilled a designer is by checking out the black textured items where shading and detail becomes far more challenging.
More after the cut!

For those people who occasionally ask me what the hell I’m doing with my SL that keeps me from blogging, I can finally answer you
Over the past several months I’ve been working on a new project: Facade Furnishings is finally ready for prime time.
Today, at the Freudian Slip we’ll be having a “get Salome a drink already” launch party featuring over 8 hours of live music goodness from some of SL’s hottest talent with fun and freebies tossed into the mix. Are you enticed yet? You should definitely be feeling enticed. The concert party is open to one and all and I certainly hope you’ll feel inclined to attend.

The music line-up is just sublime.
When: Saturday, March 22, 2008
Where: The Freudian Slip
2pm - Tweety & The Tomcats: Funky bluesy trio of sax, bass, and guitar - we dare you to try and keep still.
3pm - Raspbury Rearwin: Alt-rock-pop singer/songwriter, cute-as-a-button and lover of bulldogs.
4pm - Montian Gilruth Mouth-watering Canadian vocalist and finger-pickin’ genius.
5pm - Tone Uriza: Big Daddy Bluesman crunhin’ the blues so hard they hurt in all the right ways.
6pm - Shadrack Band: Contemporary country and Americana trio of rockin’ bass and two wickedly delish guitarists combined with creamy, creamy harmonies.
7:30pm-ish - Grace McDunnough: She’s all mine and you can’t have her, but you can come listen to our beloved songbird croon her sultry siren song until you’re ready to sell your soul for more.

While I’m not even going to try and walk the unethical tightrope of reviewing my own items, I can tell you that Facade Furnishings is a low-prim furniture showroom geared toward proving that low-prim can still be faboo. Many items in the store are only 1 or 2 prims, and complete room sets start at 15 prims or less.
Facade item textures are almost entirely created “from scratch” starting with custom-created wood grains, wickers, and lacquers. This lets us provide textures with high resolution crispness and clarity for a realistic, but not photo-sourced feel. Primwork is at a minimum - it’s all about tricking the eye into lavish faux 3D (thus: Facade). I wanted to create items that helped foster atmospheres of immersion within the Second Life environment and I really feel that too much photo-sourcing distracts from our artificial paradise (setting the ethics aside).

I also wanted to offer an item that contributed to the multimedia aspect of SL, so I teamed with our newest little neko dynamo, Chastity Vandeverre, to offer visitors these freebie scripted radio media tuners. Each set comes with a master unit and three remote units in either Vintage, Retro, or Boom Box style. From the master unit, you can store radio stations for easy tuning on any parcel where you have media rights. The remote units can be placed on other parcels in the same SIM, or within shouting distance to permit you to change streams at multiple locations. Features include textures that change when you flip radio stations streams, hide/show and owner lock options. I think it’s a pretty nifty freebie, but then, I’m biased
Scripts are driven by a notecard that you can customize for your own stations and options. Full instructions are included and updates should be released when necessary.

At today’s party, we’ll also have fun freebies that are not nearly as impressive, but give us a giggle. Seeing as I’d like nothing more than to get completely blotto after the months of going blind in Photoshop, we have the One Too Many Lampshade Party Set, complete with lampshade hat and Uncle Feterish mouth bulb (touch on/off).

This will be a shameless plug for the new sim the SL Library is opening this weekend. Land of Lincoln is dedicated to teaching about the life and times of that great president, Abraham Lincoln. It’s also one of the very first in SL to portray times in the 1860’s. I’ve been heavily involved in the development, because of my longtime study of and love for that time period. It’s also why I’ve been slacking doing reviews lately.
Laynie Link, of LaynieWear, graciously offered to make part of an outfit to give out as freebies on the sim. I asked for an 1860’s Day Dress, and she sure delivered. We agreed I’d do the flexiskirt from her texture.

This is our result. She had such a good time with it, she ended up making the outfit in 4 colors. When I saw the blue, I squeed so loudly she said that one would be mine. So we have this in rose, green, and grey, free for all, on the Welcome Center of Land of Lincoln. I love the lace trims, they also give the illusion of the dropped shoulder seam typical to the period. The top comes on all 3 layers, but the shirt layer is the one that has the ability to make the correct wider sleeves. There are glitch pants, and a system underskirt, as no true Victorian lady shows her limbs!

She kept on and made divine little sculptie parasols to match the dresses. Lovely confections. Those can be bought at her stores. Promenading with the lady here is a gentleman wearing Vincente Shepherd’s, of Gaslights Emporium, Black Brocade Frock Suit for men. Vince is also providing this outfit free to the males visiting our sim. I’m wearing the Miss Eyre hairstyle from Historical Heroines. It’s not quite what I need but as close as it gets in sl so far. I am begging, hair designers! We need the right hairstyles. Usually the lady’s ears were almost covered by her hair as it was pulled back. I have searched in vain for a year now.

On another note, Laynie liked the top so well she turned it into these adorable footie pj’s. One look at the back end and you know why she calls them Ruffle Buttz. Only prim ruffles could make them any cuter. They can be found in her store, if there are any left, for only 100L$ a pair. Who’s having the next pj party?
