SL’s designers have been working together in harmony like the Sweet Adelines to sweeten the pot and bring us delectable goodies this past week.

Nephilaine Protagonist, Pixel Dolls, announced jeans with sculpted legs, a winsome top and, to keep us sweet, a pack of the nicest FREE necklaces. Get ‘em at her Port Seraphine shop. Stephen Lightworker, RealSKIN, released new skins, one of them the charming Aishi .

Tracy Scofield, Encore, has gone plaid crazy, with dress, slacks outfit, shorts outfit, and jewelry to match. You’ll look like a sweet patootie in any of them. Here is the slack outfit, Such a Tease, with blouses, one slightly sheer.

Short and sweet is the striped hoodie with shorts that Camie Cooper set up , along with her babydoll dress in snow leopard skin. Shai Dela Croix, Casa del Shai, brings us sugar and spice with her Esmeralda Gypsy Queen outfit. It’s sure to give your man sweet dreams. At last a colorful and interesting suit, brought by Designing Nicky Ree. Wearing a suit like this can help you cut a sweet deal at the office.

Six Kennedy, Gurl6, brings 3 new luscious hairstyles to her store, and you bet your sweet ass these do’s are sexy! Miriel Enfield has the Artist hairdo for us too, a messy bun, not a sweet roll, with a sculpted hairpin.

Rowan Carroll, She’s So Unusual Shoes, has several pair to try. I liked the Rolled Bandana Wedges. I wore them around for days, and for a trip to the sweet shop. See them here on Ana Lutetia’s blog. Nylon Pinkney blogged about Yummy’s Polyester Partridge’s appealing Fanny Pack Extreeeemes. You could even carry some yummy bon bons in them. Zipper pull bobbles included.

Siyu Suen, Illusions, sculpted 7 sets of horns, such as you might see in the sweet hereafter. Each comes in 5 colors for one hell of an experience. Bryce Tully, Bryce Designs, released a new version of his scripted Neko ears and sweet November, a unisex hairstyle.

Eolande Elvehjem, Accessories by Eolande made precious Sea Nymph Hair Gems, specially for ETD’s Sea Nymph hairstyle, which is being taken out of circ any day now. Elexor Matador, EMJ, dug out a huge array of stone jewelry sets for us. They look like rock candy!

Kya Eliot at Escape did a retro halter dress, Charlie. It comes in several engaging versions. For you fans of Lil Nekos, forsakenHearts‘ Dollie dresses, she’s got the sweetest one of all now, Gothic Lollipop Dollie. Neferia Abel, Ivalde, among several new releases, gives us a dress to satisfy our sweet tooth. Marit has delicate eyelet and smocking, a confection of an outfit.

Tuli Asturias created some sweetmeats for us this week, with a sexy mix and match outfit, a Boho-ish outfit, and embellished jean shorts. House of Zen and Hinode Shima Manager, Sasy Scarborough, blogged tons of great releases there and in the surrounding pagodas. Shown is the new Martial Arts Uniform, that you may want to wear while administering sweet justice. Scripted mats are also available.

For the guys, Casa del Shai will make you look good lounging on the veranda drinking sweet tea or mint juleps while wearing the slouchy Southern Comfort Suit. The ladies will want to whisper sweet nothings into your ears. Sweet Fanny Adams! Frangipani Designs offers Entourage Denims and Jerseys, which have white collars and plackets.

Nyte’n'day, Nyte Caligari, announced she’d reducing the price of her skins by 50 %, so you won’t need a sugar daddy to buy them. August is almost here, and Roslin Petion, Tete a Pied, announced the imminent arrival of Aout, outfit and limited release skin.

For those of you who haven’t had the pleasure of hearing Tone Uriza play in-world, you have been missing some of the crunchiest, yummiest blues anywhere on the grid. This weekend, for the first time, Tone will be playing with his band - the Torpedoes - in an event to launch the new House of Flames Concert Ballroom.

Attendance to the concert is limited by group - you have to join the group named “House of Flames Grand Opening.” There is a L$1000 “ticket fee” to join this group - approx $4 USD. One of the rare SL opportunities to enjoy a full group - and certainly the first opportunity I’ve encountered in SL yet to enjoy a full live blues band.

We don’t usually promote events (other than fashion sales, etc) here on LL, but I’m incredibly excited about this concert and I wanted to share it with readers. Tone is a great guy and an amazing SL performer and if you’re looking for a good time to dress up and bring your honey to this weekend, I hope you’ll consider it.

So much of the music in SL is free, my feelings are that this is a rare opportunity to support the musicians we love for a virtual “paying gig.”

Below is the text of information on this event as provided via in-world notecard:

July 28th will be a night of “firsts” for the House of Flames. Not only will Tone Uriza be playing with his full band for the very first time in Second Life, they will be doing it at the brand new House of Flames Concert Ballroom. This ballroom was designed and built in collaboration with Skimi Mission, who also designed the remainder of the retail village on the House of Flames Island. The ballroom crosses two sims, House of Flames and Eternal Flames, and should be able to hold about 150 avis.

Because this is the first concert the House of Flames has had where we asked RL musicians to come and play in Second Life specifically for a show, we are expecting them to consider this as any real life gig, with payment for the band at the same rate as they would expect to receive in Real life. In order to be able to meet those costs we are offering entry to the concert on a paid admission basis, just as you would expect if you were going to hear the band in real life from their home base in Tucson, Arizona.

Here’s how it will work: The House of Flames has established a group just for this Grand Opening event. We are adding some very special folks who volunteered for us at the BONFIRE 2007 event, as our thank you for helping us over the 24 hours of live music that was presented. Once those folks are all added, we will be opening the group to the public, at a 1000L entry fee (about $4 US) This will get you on the group list and on the night of the show, both the House of Flames and the Eternal Flames Islands will be open only to members of that Grand Opening group. You can buy an admission to the group at any time right up until the show, but we would suggest you join the group early so there is no lag in getting you admissions to the show as the list updates. There will be no refunds, as we believe we will be able to admit everyone who wants to enter.

This will be the first of many RL band shows that the House of Flames brings to Second Life. Our hope is that you support our efforts in bringing you the best of both in-world and real life independent music by purchasing admission to the show. Please appreciate the thousands of dollars in instruments and streaming equipment that are necessary to bring you shows like this and while we will continue to offer free concerts as we always have, showcases like this will allow us to continue to fund the shows we present at no charge.

SL’s hardworking designers have breathed new life into the SL fashion world this past week. If you’re looking to turn over a new leaf, you’re in the right place at the right time.

Lyra Muse, Last Call, travels into new pastures with her dog tags for both sexes in sculptie. She also sculpted Arinne, a fine black necklace, earrings and bracelet. Caroline Apollo, LoLo, has more cameos for us, including a free kitten choker. Elexor Matador, over at EMJ, has a new wrinkle for us. He did a necklace and some earrings to match his XOXO bracelets that we’ve fallen in love with. However, he broke new ground with the delicate Feather Necklace set, and also did 2 different pearl necklaces. I’ve included a pic of the Feather bracelet, so you can see the intricate detail of his work.

Miriel Enfield has plumbed new depths in her two collections of Luminous Eyes. They’re quite lovely, and come in 2 sizes. I ran out in a New York minute to buy a set. I’d like to mention an untried designer of eyes today, Zada Zenovka, of Shapes by Zada,whose EyeFidelity eyes are very good. I wore her blue sapphire IdealEyes around for a day or two and liked them very much. Her shop is in Kusawa. (no link.)

Rebel Hope will have new brides looking all dewy-eyed in her 2 new tiaras. Fallingwater Cellardoor of Shiny Things entered a whole new ball game with almost perfectly seamed stockings. 5 sets, 2 are absolutely perfect cable knit knee socks! Britneyj Crimson, Second Mirage is opening new doors with her gold standard Alidar set. Also, in her store is a nice set of gold necklaces, and chunky stone ones for the guys.

Adam n Eve’s Sachi Vixen has given freckles a new lease on life. Her fresh Alexandra skins are a natural makeup freckled redhead, or blonde/brunette. I wouldn’t be surprised to find makeups for these skins not far behind, giving freckled skins new blood.

Nylon Pinckney, Daniel Luchador, and Polyester Partridge have brought something new to the game. Remember those old photo booths in stores? Where you paid a quarter, jumped in, sat, and it took awful pics of you and your friends, then spit out a strip of them? Well you can now do this in sl. I think it’s great! It has many poses to choose from, with a holding pose for the frame it dispenses for you to insert your pics in. You can try it out on the Tableau sim, just to the right of the landing zone. Such fun!

Artilleri’s Antie Marat has a new wave of releases for us. She did 6 new makeups, a very cute dress, and a whole bevy of tank tops. Amanda at Calico Creations created a new look with wedding hairstyle and matching veil, along with Hyacinth Tiramisu, Silent Sparrow, who designed the wedding dresses. Just lovely for an au courant Goth wedding. Camie Cooper’s done extra stuff this time, too, A cute vest, tank tops galore, tons of short shorts, and a leopard baby doll dress.

On the cutting edge, SL’s hairstylists were busy this last week. Six Kennedy, Gurl6 took a new broom to her just released Lola hairstyle, and released two others. Rach Snookums, Frangipani Designs latest releases are 3 modish hairstyles. Hairstyles by Tami McCoy will make you feel like new in a cute do, Modern, for the ladies, with also a version for guys which is a good look. Marly Vaughan blogged about a new specialty hair designer, Rubina Stanwell, Adimu Specialty Salon. Adimu does very nice Black, African, Caribbean styles , for both men and women.

Neferia Abel’s, Ivalde, delicate cotton dress made a new woman out of me. I felt so lovely in its soft cotton and gorgeous lace details. There are so many options that come with it, but I loved the dress by itself. I wore it out dancing at a ballroom, and threw it on for an impromptu tea invitation from a gentleman friend in Caledon. Just look!

Abby Coalcliff, Devilish Cupcake, is opening new doors for us by selling her cute All-star shorts and top sets in a plain version, and a little Posie babydoll dress top. Lux Yao, Amaretto, did a funky spanking new lime green babydoll. Too new for a blog, I’d like to mention a new designer on the block, Kitridge DeSantis, Kitchy. She’s got some very nice hand drawn bikinis, and just released a pants suit. Give her a look for the future. You’ll find her store in Oakley. (no link.)

Ask men’s line will have you looking like a new man. There’s a polo, with long undershirt, a great selection of jeans, and a very nice pinstripe dress shirt, worn out, with the sleeves turned back. Love that look on a guy. Secundus Jacobus, at the Second Man, blogged his praises of Mako Magellan’s Mittelmoderne Caledonian suits. Don’t discount them if you’re not into Victorian, because they straddle the line quite nicely. Sartorial splendor, guys.

Grazia Horwitz of SecondStyle Fashionista blogged Moire Georgette’s, of Bossa Nova, great sale. Most of her older items are 50l$, with a few going as low as 30. Just out, are two more adorable dresses, while you’re there. Elika Tiramisu of ETD, offers us a comeback of something old, her Lovely hairstyle for 1L$. Accessories by Eolande has her July gift of the month freebie out now, an absolutely inventive Fairy Sparkle Antennae. She released another Kanji Beauty Hair Pin, too. (But you have to pay for that.)
