Instead of the normal hum-de-dum review where I squee and “faboo!” a lot, I thought we’d do something a little different.
Enjoy!

We’ve not had much snow so far this winter yet, but there’s lots more winter to come. But I still feel, though I’m not snowed in, as if I’m snowed under. I’ve left this poor blog out in the cold. I just chucked it all tonight and went shopping. I’ve forgotten how much I love it. Let’s see what I can tempt you with from this weeks’ offerings.
Nephilaine Protagonist, PixelDolls, has the Helene dress, an off-the-shoulder style that’s cute and sexy. She’s also got a 50% off sale on shoes. Starley Thereian, Celestial Studios, did her first handbag, and it looks great, and big enough to hold all my stuff, too. Ciera Bergman, Vitamin Ci, did separates, sexy jeans and and even sexier handkerchief top.
Caroline Apollo, Caroline’s Jewelry, thinks spring and ivy covered walls with her very classic White Pearl Necklace. Lucas Lameth, Earthtones Boutique, come out from under his snow pile to make the lovely Carollin jewelry set. Here’s the necklace:

Siyu Suen, Illusions, says she finally made a much requested Guy Fawkes mask and The Desperado hat to wear with it. She’s also got a nice new freebie mask available for all. Eolande Elvehjem, Accessories by Eolande, wants us to enjoy Valentine’s Day with her new Beaded Heart jewelry. TwiLaxx, Girlie and Relax, has adorable flip flops that may be rushing the season, but great for a trip to a warmer clime.
Abby Coalcliff, Devilish Cupcake, is ready for when the snow melts with her submission to the “Couture on the Court” contest. It’s a great tennis outfit, one that’ll inspire lots of ‘love’, though not guaranteed to improve your game. Tuli Asturias followed her muse with 2 adorable “girlie” outfits, which will have lots of possibilities to wear to sl events.

House of Zen’s Zen Deledda, has a nice gown, along with some other things to check out at the store. SavannahAnn McMillan, SL Spirit, has football cheerleader outfits, just in time for you to cheer for your fav superbowl team. Kitridge Desantis, Kitchy Boutique, has gone preppy with, what else but Prep would describe this plaid jacket outfit.
Maximillion Grant and Polly Pavlova, The Body Politik, did Natural flirt, an embroidered jeans and tied cotton shirt combo you’ll like a lot. Wisp Jinn, Wishbox, added a delicate medieval gown, Dragonfly, for our pleasure. Check out the circlet on the model’s head, they’re for sale too.
Roslin Petion, Tete a Pied, reports a 50% off sale on select skins. Better check em out. New skin designer Joan Philbin, Slippery, has a Natural skin line you may want to see.

Signing out for now, I’m…

Do these even exist?
Every pair I have (and they are legion in my inventory) are either badly textured, or have hideous base prims that do not come close to matching the textures, or look like cast-offs from the latest tranny convention.
Anyone have a pair that rocks?
I find it *profoundly* screwy that up until this entry we didn’t have a category for “Fun.” Given the amount of fun I have with this blog and the amount of fun in my inventory, the absence of a category for giggles and smirks simply does not compute. I am attempting to console myself this merely implies that playing virtual paper dolls on a regular basis takes the “fun” part for granted, but I’m not ruling out the fact that I may, in fact, be a an aging fuddy duddy two steps from howling on my front porch for those damn kids to keep down the racket (and if that ball lands in my yard one more time, I’m keeping it!).
Wait. Seriously, I’m reviewing something.
Peter Stindberg has released his beloved “Plywood Man” out into the community for general consumption. And, honestly, you have to have one. They are just the most adorable avatars ever.

Peter’s note for review included this charming little promo clip, which I can’t help but share:
“Whenever I wore Plywood Man in the past, it brought a smile on resident’s faces around me. I even won two costume contests with it.
He goes on to explain that the Plywood Man is not only visually fun, but also fully operational in that you can use your regular A/Os, dances, and other animations. Peter compares it to a Pinocchio marionette and vintage Sci-Fi robots which is surprisingly accurate considering how different the images those two ideas conjure.
It is also full-mod which means if you are possessed of two X chromosomes in your virtual incarnation, you can make yourself a Plywood Woman by tagging on a pair of spheres.

My only beef is that the avatar is mod/no copy/transfer. I would much prefer mod/copy/no transfer so that I could edit textures and have some fun while safely maintaining my back-up. But as beefs go, it’s a tiny one compared to how fun this is to have lurking in your inventory for parties.
In fact, at 20 prims for the entire outfit (far less than the average hairstyle), I think we should make them mandatory for lag-tastic events like fashion shows and ETD hair sales (visualizes armies of Plywood Women oohing and ahhing over virtual couture). Who’s with me?
