Raindrops on prim roses and whiskers on Neko…
Boss Salome has asked us to contribute our favorite things to send Linden Lifestyles out with a big hurrah. Here are some of my favorite things.

Here’s a nice headshot showcasing four of my favorite things. First off is the hair which is ETD, of course. In Mahogany, of course. ETD Mahogany, a lovely red-brown, is easily my favorite shade of hair in SL by far. It’s my color and in the current version the best it’s ever been. I hope Elika never ever changes it, or I shall cry. The style is Vivian, a classic updo. In my personal opinion, ETD has the best classic updos on the grid. Since I spend a lot of time in Steampunk Victorian Caledon and a lot of time wearing classic styles, I wear them often.
I really don’t have to mention what skin I’m wearing, do I. All together now, fashionistas: “CronoCloud Creeggan wears Fleur skins, everyone knows this.” Very good! Gold stars for everyone. I’ve favored Fleur skins, formerly known as Tete a Pied pretty much since a month after my rezday. It’s the pretty classic makeup that does it, it coordinates so well with my very classic and retro looks. This is the Laura skin, in Buff. This one has such pretty winged eyeliner. I’d kill for eyeliner like this in RL, I’ve never been able to wing it so so beautifully.
The pearls are from Raven Rosebud, and were highlighted in this post by Sabrina Like Sabrina, I don’t have the jewelery gene, but I do know great must have classics when I see them. Here’s the best part, they were free. How could I not have them. I’ve worn them many many times. I have the choker too and yes it probably is my favorite choker in SL.
Also you can see my Miriel Enfield eyes. I spend some time in my early days trying to find the perfect eyes until I finally tried Miriel’s. Now I wear nothing but eyes from Miriel, usually these Strong Green ones in the Vivid naturals series. I love Miriel eyes because of the small realistic irises, though she now makes her eyes in a larger size for those that prefer that.
More of my favorite things, after the break.

In my wanderings around the grid, I need to find something to wear that’s pretty, and suits my style, but isn’t too ballgowny formal. Nowadays it’s often from one of my favorite “go-to” stores, ICING. ICING has tonnes of the classic pretty pretty that I favor. This is Hearts Desire, a classic cocktail dress in deep red and black.
The shoes, are probably my favorite shoes in SL, just edging out a few other pairs by a hair. They’re the Classics from Shiny Things. Almond toed, classic shaped, high heeled, but not too high heeled and perfect. I had to have them from the moment I first heard of them.
And yet another ETD hairstyle in Mahogany, this one is Sofia.

Reasonable Desires is pretty much the costume go-to store for Linden Lifestyles. Want a nun outfit, I’ll send you there. Want the best pirate costume in SL, I’ll send you there. And this is their Can Can outfit, this is the purple/violet, but it also comes in other colors. Why do I have it? Why yes, I am a victorian trollop, thank you peanut gallery, remind me to hunt you down and feed you to the evil turkeys later. But just look at it, it’s gorgeous. Not only does it look good posed or in motion, but it’s inexpensive, 250L$ if I remember correctly. I love it and I want to do burlesque in it, just because.
The boots I’m wearing are the Ziggy boots from Tesla, must haves for any Caledonian Trollop, I mean gentlewoman. Well detailed and with a high louis heel, just fabulous.

I spend a lot of time in Caledon and I often need a gown for formal events, like balls. Though sometimes by the end of them the ladies are down to the corsets. It’s a Caledon thing, the ball-turned rave. Simone! is one of Linden Lifestyles “go-to” stores for formals and this is her Midnight in Venice gown. It comes with a mask too, for those mask balls. The best thing about this gown is when it moves, it’s like a dark floaty cloud of goodness. I get compliments on it every time I wear it. But what is probably my favorite thing about Simone! is the fact that she doesn’t use Photoshop, she uses the open-source image editor “The GIMP” which I do as well.
When it comes to ultra formal updos, ETD Anisa in Mahogany is one of my favorite choices. The only problem is it’s also one of Gabrielle Riel, Duchess of Cairntaigh in Caledon’s favorites as well, so we often look like sisters at events, because we favor similar makeup as well.
The tiara is from my personal go-to store for jewellery, Miriel Enfield. I want beautiful, and pretty jewellery and Miriel provides it in abundance.

I have a love/dislike relationship with Bare Rose. Love the quality, love the diversity, love the prices, love the people who run it, but I dislike shopping there. Bare Rose isn’t just a store, it’s like a whole community/party/noobie helper zone, which means it’s lagtastic, which really can’t be helped. But oh, the great must have finds there. If you’re lucky you can find them at the standalone Bare Rose Couture, but if not, you might have some problems finding them in the main store area, though the new web based search tool does help. This is Mistress of Occultism, which is perfect for my “Misunderstood Steampunk Genius” moments. It is gorgeous and it is cheap!
Again, Tesla “Ziggys”, they’re just perfect with the ensemble.
My weapon is from my “go-to” store for weaponry, Ordinal Malaprop’s store in Caledon. This is the howdah pistol, a .61 caliber double barreled monstrosity based on one from RL. The RL version was designed to protect folks on howdah’s from tigers and other wee beasties at very close range. They needed something powerful, that didn’t really need any range to it. This wonderful toy would give any Blingon warrior cause to fear. Ordinal’s weaponry is crafted so well, with great custom animations too. I’m sad to report that it is not effective on the Evil Annoying Turkeys one often finds near Caledon telehubs. They drive me batty with their gobbling noises, thus driving me to Steampunk Misunderstood Geniushood.
That’s ETD Cadey in Mahogany under the hat.
Finally a more casual look. Yes, I do dress casually, sometimes.

This is the Maitreya Jam Hoodie, with sculptie hood and sleeves, I love it so. These are my favorite jeans in SL, the Launa Fauna “Strict” jeans. I haven’t worn any others in ages. The boots are from OI and are easily my favorite casual stomping boots.
But the real stars of this ensemble are the hair and the pose.
The hair is ETD Maaliyah in Mahogany, my signature style. If I’m not wearing an updo, I’m probably wearing Maaliyah. It has been my signature style ever since Celebrity Trollop recommended it to me when it first came out. Did you know this style almost was never released? I’m glad that didn’t happen because what Patootie is for Salome, Maaliyah is for me.
The pose is from Luth Brodie’s Reel Expressions, the famous finger horns pose. For modelling purposes I tend to favor Luth poses.
Which brings me to things I truly love, but aren’t really photo worthy.
My picture perfect pose stand and studio. Made by Boss Sabrina herself. Simple to use, inexpensive and low prim. Sabrina and I were actually working on an enhanced Pro version when she went on hiatus, she has the only copy of it, sigh.
The HUDDLES AO thingy. Can’t live without it. Salome’s review of it is spot on.
The Mysti-tool. Go ahead and splurge on the full version, it’s worth it.
The Slurlblogger HUD, lets me take notes within SL and send them to my e-mail without having to have sucky Notepad open.
En-Garde! My favorite game within SL. I was, for a VERY short period of time, the top ranked player in SL. Which I didn’t deserve.
So there’s some of my favorite things. I don’t need to mention two others, Bosses Sabrina Doolittle and Salome Strangelove themselves, whom I love dearly. I shall cherish their words here on LL: “Pants!” “Squee!”, forever

Loverly post, Crono! :))
