All Wrapped Up

Filed under: Clothing, Lingerie — Sabrina Doolittle @ 3:45 pm

My general policy with our advertisers is to ignore them. If I stumble into your shop and I love your stuff, fab; if you send me clothes and I hate them, well, I already have your Lindens so we’ll both survive.

I have noticed the ad for Chic Boutique a lot, though, and kept thinking “I must get over there” because God knows I like fabulous lingerie as much as the next woman. So when designer Arielle Ceres invited me over to have a look at her new Valentine’s Day items, I was there in a heartbeat.

And lo, my heart did pitter pat:

Chic Boutique Red Beaded and Dita Corset

The outfit on the left is the outrageous, drop dead va-va-voom Vegas show girl styled red beaded set, and I am in love with it. I mean, if there is one night a year when you should be all about the full on glamour come hither scanties, it is Valentine’s Day, after all.

In the right is the Moulin Rouge style Dita Corset set, which I can only assume is an ode to the queen of pin-up, Dita Von Tease (who you should not Google from work.) I’m not really a fan of fire engine red, but I’ve no doubt its a popular shade choice this time of year. What makes this set really flick my Bic is the prim ruffles which gather over the bust and around the waist. They are very seductive and extremely well done.

My favourite is the Sweetheart set, because I am not taking my kit off for anyone but me this February 14th, and therefore am all about the cute:

Chic Boutique Sweetheart

I love, love, love the red ribbon detailing on the straps and on the knicker bows. I also appreciate that the set comes with two knicker options: this fuller underpant, and a thong version.

The bra, in addition to be pretty and charming, also has a prim ruffle. Trust me, you really want to spend the time on the pose stand adjusting the ruffle correctly or else the sweet, demure, adorable bra becomes very, very peek-a-boo. (Obviously, if you want your nipples springing out over the top, you can just leave the ruffle off.)

The store is packed with lingerie, swimsuits and casuals, and I particularly intend to go back to shop some of the great pants and tops seperates on offer. But for now, it’s the lingerie that’s stolen my heart.

Where to Buy:

Chic Boutique
Red Beaded Lingerie: $195L
Dita Corset Lingerie: $250
Sweetheart Lingerie: $195
Reil (195, 141, 26)

  2. I own at least half of her items, but I hadn’t been back in a while…I ran right over and dropped better than 1000L after I saw this blog, though. Does that help? lol

  9. Chic Boutique sells some familiar looking lingerie…Check out the website http://www.simchic.com/ ….click on *WOMEN* then click on *SKINS* and finally click on *UNDERGARMENTS*–several items are exactly the same. Not sure if the Sim Chic shop for the Sims 2 is also own by Chic Boutique in Second Life.

  10. Hi, Pinky.
My alias in the Sims world is “Crechebaby”, and yes I do own and run Sim Chic. Thanks so much for being so observant and aware of the copyright issues, it really makes me feel alot more secure as an artist that there are people out there who actually CARE about such things! :)

To all other commenters.. thank you too! I’m so glad you’re enjoying my work.
