With Cherries on Top

Filed under: Accessories, Body, Clothing, Hair, Lingerie, Shoes, Skirts, Tops — Sabrina Doolittle @ 7:03 am

I was checking out our most amazing new Flickr stream over there on the right hand side, and I saw this dress by Laynie Link in a fabulously stylin’ shot from reader Laverne Donat. So I popped over to LaynieWear to see what else was new, and walked away with the rockin’ Cherries underwear set:

Cherries and Skulls

…which I would totally wear as a swimsuit, too, but I’m trashy like that. It comes with a zillion (well, eight) pieces including bra options, garter options, and knicker options all bundled together for $100L. Woot!

With it is the fantastic Ministry hair with cowboy hat from Gritty Kitty I’ve been meaning to buy ever since I saw it on StyleDisorder. I agree with Willow (as per) - this is one of the best hat/hair combinations I’ve seen, and I love the kick-your-ass hat paired with the rather industrial take on cherries. I seriously need guns to wear with this.

LaynieWear also has this amazing tulle prim skirt which I love; it seemed to call for friends from Antonia Marat’s artilleri, which is always an expensive “OMG I must have it ALL” shopping trip for me:

Vintage

I took Furiae Blackthorne of Fashion Victim with me because she is my alternative style consultant - when I’m in a wardrobe jam, I just follow directions when she points and says “buy this, this, this and that” and spend Lindens until it all comes together.

The hair is utterly hiptastic Sabrina style, which comes in colour packs of three, all with colour-change bandanas. The shirt, the bracelets, the belt, the sunglasses - they are all from artilleri along with about 3,000 other things I picked up while there.

Finally, topping (or bottoming) it off are the most adorable flats in Second Life: the Kandace shoes from Vertically Challenged:

Kandace - Vertically Challenged

Salome gave them to me as a pressie, so I was sure she had blogged them, but it appears not. Vertically Challenged is a very little store in a very little tree, but the selection is small but perfectly formed. There are only three pairs of shoes and two jewellery sets - that’s the whole inventory - but what there is, you must buy.

  11. I went straight out and bought the hat–in the dreads hair version and it’s fantastic! Can’t, and won’t, be taking that off my head for ages.
In the pic from Laverne, she’s wearing the femme red cowboy boots from Nevermore which I immediately tp’d to ply them with Lindens for the must have footwear. But my god, are they tiny! you must have matchstick legs to wear them. A grrr moment…
